Starbucks is not only the king of coffee, it’s the king of bringing innovative coffee flavors to each season. The last three months of the year are clocking in fast, but before all coffee lovers go loco with the nearing advent of the world-famous red cups this Christmas season, we’re still entering Fall, and Starbucks wants to spice up your lattes as early as now.
The newest offering to hit the market is the Toasted Graham Latte, which is the first handcrafted espresso beverage that Starbucks has introduced in four years. Now available in your favorite Starbucks store across the United States and Canada, the Toasted Graham Latte brings feelings of comfort and warmth in a cup, which is basically what Fall is about.
More than your normal latte, this espresso beverage comes with steamed milk, the unique flavor of graham (and cinnamon graham crumbles), and sweet cream. Because the drink was handcrafted to officially welcome autumn, it also comes with a specially designed paper cup. A cup that has sketches of leaves, pine cones, berries, and pumpkins, this distinctive cup really completes the autumn theme and makes the drink even more special. After all, as Senior Designer for Store Promotions Jimmy Balch says, “While there are many customers who want to hold onto summer, there are others who can’t wait for it to end… We wanted to give those who celebrate fall something special.”
Just like any other latte, you can enjoy your Toasted Graham Latte either hot or over ice. The distinctive flavors remain the same, and this drink is something that a lot of people will surely love. It’s a flavor that’s truly worth trying out, especially because it brings “the taste of cereal milk” and “the delicious leftovers in your breakfast bowl”.
Even before the Toasted Graham Latte became available in the market however, Starbucks has already mastered the art of spicing up your normal latte with the widely popular Pumpkin Spice Latte. Pumpkin Spice Latte or PSL is definitely the king of Starbuck’s Fall season, and it’s actually the most popular seasonal beverage of all time. In fact, Starbuck’s Director of Espresso and Brewed Coffee Peter Dukes declares that “When you taste PSL, it tastes just like fall.”
The best thing about how Starbucks is bringing PSL back this season is that this time, it has none of the caramel coloring and is made with real pumpkin. Other than that, the formula for this drink is the same: “Espresso, perfectly steamed milk, warm fall spices with delicious flavor of pumpkin pie that reminds you of the cool, crisp days of autumn.”
So as autumn falls upon us, head to your Starbucks store and get the best taste of this season. You can either trust the old fan favorite and go for the Pumpkin Spice Latte or check out the newest offering that’s sure to capture an entirely new fanbase: the Toasted Graham Latte. Of course nothing is stopping you from trying out both.
